Tuesday, April 11
Instrumental Lunch Hours –Head to the lobby of the 1801 California Building for an hour of live music at lunchtime. Altius Quartet, the Fellowship String Quartet-in-Residence at the University of Colorado-Boulder. Altius Quartet is an an emerging, young professional ensemble that we are happy to bring back for a second year to Arts Brookfield audiences.
Burnt Barrel, Colorado Spirits & Sports, which took over the former Tilted Kilt spot on the 16th Street Mall, is hosting grand opening charity events April 11-13. There’ll be a local craft beer tasting, wine tasting and whiskey tasting.
Mamma Mia! Opens at the Buell Theatre, running through the 16th. Dare you not to smile and sing along.
Make the show even more festive by going to range first, the restaurant in the beautiful Colorado National Bank building. They’ve brought back their Theatre Cocktail Series in conjunction with Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Have an ABBA Shandy. Not your traditional shandy, this cocktail is a blend of Swedish whiskey, elderflower liqueur and fresh lemon juice, topped off with a splash of ginger ale and sparkling wine. Served in a collins glass, the ABBA Shandy is garnished with a lemon wheel. Have dinner too and you can valet part your car there for free.

No, they aren’t having a special dinner in honor of Good Friday but, gosh, we couldn’t resist suggesting that you give Wild Standard a try, in Boulder. Beer-battered Wild Salmon Tacos, fresh oysters and Thai Green Curry Mussels sound tempting.
