Burnt Barrel, Colorado Spirits & Sports’ burgers.

Burnt Barrel, Colorado Spirits & Sports, which took over the former Tilted Kilt spot on the 16th Street Mall, is hosting grand opening charity events April 11-13. There’ll be a local craft beer tasting, wine tasting and whiskey tasting.

Mamma Mia! Opens at the Buell Theatre, running through the 16th. Dare you not to smile and sing along.

Make the show even more festive by going to range first, the restaurant in the beautiful Colorado National Bank building. They’ve brought back their Theatre Cocktail Series in conjunction with Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Have an ABBA Shandy. Not your traditional shandy, this cocktail is a blend of Swedish whiskey, elderflower liqueur and fresh lemon juice, topped off with a splash of ginger ale and sparkling wine. Served in a collins glass, the ABBA Shandy is garnished with a lemon wheel. Have dinner too and you can valet part your car there for free.

Go on, go to Goorin and buy yourself a great hat.

Friday, April 14
Everyone needs a great hat! Get one when Goorin Bros., a fourth-generation, family-ownex company of hatmakers, celebrates 7 years in Larimer Square. Enjoy complimentary cocktails from Altos Tequila, live music and 15% off all hats. Time to buy your “Easter Bonnets” or “Kentucky Derby” chapeaux, we’d say. Fedora, perhaps?

No, they aren’t having a special dinner in honor of Good Friday but, gosh, we couldn’t resist suggesting that you give Wild Standard a try, in Boulder. Beer-battered Wild Salmon Tacos, fresh oysters and Thai Green Curry Mussels sound tempting.
