Lots of Italian stuff, lots and lots of beer and a trip to outer space are in your future for this week.
Monday, March 20
Coperta’s, Tren Coperta – Every week brings a new theme in this ongoing series celebrating the food and wine of Southern Italy. Playing off the of the Italian Rail system’s Trenitalia, Tren Coperta lets guests taste their way through eight regions with a special pasta and cocktail, wine or dessert from that region. This week, the region is Calabria.
Colorado Craft Beer Week – It may have started over the weekend but there’s still plenty of time to enjoy the celebrations throughout the week with education, food and beer events. It all culminates on Saturday – see below.
Tuesday, March 21
Travelers of the Lost Dimension – Don’t take live theater sitting down! This is a unique experience that puts you in the action in a 360-degree experience where you make your way through various spaces, touch objects, play games and find yourself inches away from characters. There are only 45 spots per performance so get your tickets now.
Wednesday, March 22
Taste & Style Charcuterie Boards – Because you need to know this in life, learn how to concoct the perfect charcuterie board for your next gathering. Learn from The Nickel’s chef Russell Stippich as part of their new creative workshop series. Make an Instagram-worthy plate of meat and cheese.
Wine Seminar Series – As one who judges wines by their pretty labels, this class at Salati Italian Street Food intrigues me. Guests will learn how to navigate a wine label, understand the wine rules and laws from around the world that effect the wine you enjoy. They will be pouring La Chertosa Chardonnay, Marchese Torrigiani Chianti, and Mi Sueno Pinot Noir.
Saturday, March 25
Le Creuset color launch event – As someone whose Le Creuset dutch oven looks as good today as it did 20 years ago, I have to pass along that there’s an event celebrating two new colors of the cookware. It’s from 12-1:30pm at the Cherry Creek Le Creuset store. RSVP to 720-287-2181.
Collaboration Beer Fest – We were all taught to cooperate back when we were children. Members of the Colorado Brewers Guild takes that seriously as adults by teaming up to create one-of-a-kind beers with brewers who would normally be considered the competition. You get to enjoy the fruits (or rather, hops) of that joint effort.
