Chatting with Kristen Slater is becoming a wonderful habit with us on the In Good Taste Denver Podcast. Park City Wine Festival: Fall Edition – October 1-3, 2026 in Park City, Utah
Kristen tells us about some exciting new additions to this Fall’s Park City Wine Festival including an activation with a certain Olympic figure skater who has gotten into the cocktail biz and a new location for one of the major events. I was particularly interested to learn about ReWined, a wristband attendees are given when they check in to the Grand Tasting. When you taste a wine you really like, instead of writing it down or taking a picture of the label, just tap the wristband to a tablet at each table. It keeps track of everything for you and provides you with an emailed list afterword so you can remember, take it to your local liquor store, or even order some directly from the winery. So smart!
One of the things I like best about the Park City Wine Festival events is that you get to talk to the people behind the wine, learning about their methods, the grapes, their vineyards and the regions in which they grow. Being able to focus on those connections, while tasting, is part of the pleasure of the Grand Tasting events. So, not having to stop and snap a picture of every label you like is a real plus!
Between the pairing meals, educational opportunities and special tasting events, there are so many moving parts to the Park City Wine Festival – and so many people involved including the local chefs and the winemakers plus the vendors and musicians, depending on the event. Kristen tells us what the planning and preparation process is like and how far in advance it all begins. It’s impressive! All so that we attendees can just enjoy.

It’s well worth mentioning, too, that Park City, Utah is a great destination in an historic but chic mountain setting with beautiful views. It’s only about an hour’s drive from the airport AND you can get a feel for where the Winter Olympics will be held in 2034!
