In this episode of the In Good Taste Denver Podcast, James explains how his time in Colorado, years ago, led him to eventually open Blanchard Family Wines in Colorado, a local tasting room for his family’s California wine enterprise. His love for Colorado and appreciation for Colorado’s wine scene has only grown.

James tells us about what makes Colorado a great place to make wine and why he is happy to have the opportunity to celebrate and showcase the wines and the people behind them in his Colorado Wine Walks.

We talk about each of the three events which happen on April 26, July 12 and September 12 in the Diary Block Alley in downtown Denver. James explains what’s different about July’s event, a Colorado Craft Walk (hint: in addition to wine, it also expands to include beer and spirits).

James provides some great tips for utilizing the unique format of the Colorado Wine Walk events to get to know wines and wineries you’ve never experienced, what to talk to the winemakers about, and how to take advantage of the convenient way to purchase any bottles you want to take home.

We learn that there’ll be live, local entertainment to enjoy during the Walks and that the food offerings will be stellar.

As an added perk, we share the promo code Colorado Wine Walks created just for our listeners and readers (IGTD10) to save $10 off any ticket to any of the three events. Tickets are on sale now for all three, so you can go ahead and make your Colorado Wine Walk plans now and save money with every ticket.
