Back in the day, before things were mass-produced, if you wanted or needed something, you made it. Or you paid the butcher, the baker or the candlestick maker to do it. From the essentials like a table, clothing, soap, bread, produce and the like, it was produced by hand. Thankfully, in recent years, the appreciation for artisans and those who make things is new again (and trendy). Shopping at an artisan market or farmers market not only gets you honest to goodness goods, but you get to literally meet their maker (or grower). Here’s our roundup of artisan and farmers markets we find to be In Good Taste in Colorado in 2025. 

Meet Your Maker: Artisan Markets & Farmers Markets

Series: 

Arvada Farmers Markets in Old Town Square, happens Sundays through Sept. 28. They sell peaches, honey, cakes, cheeses, tamales, fresh juices, house plants and artisan products. 

Aspen Grove Farmers Market hosted by Curate: A Local Mercantile runs through Sept. 26 selling fresh produce, baked goods, local artisan goods and specialty food items. 

Boulder County Farmers Market is every Wednesday, through Oct. 8, with fresh, local food with more than 150 vendors. The market has been running since 1987. 

Cherry Creek Fresh Market is every Saturday through Oct. 11. It’s the largest farmers’ market in Denver and sells fresh produce plus goods from local gourmet food vendors. Enjoy chef events and gardening tips from Master Gardeners and Composters. 

Cherry Creek Holiday Market happens Thanksgiving – Dec. 24 with a charming outdoor market with local artisans, treats and live entertainment under twinkling lights, with holiday music. 

City Park Farmers Market, Saturdays through Oct. 25, features more than 60 Colorado-based vendors offering produce, baked goods, sauces and ready-to-eat items. There’s also live music and dining options. 

Denver BAZAAR at Larimer Square is the third Sunday of every month through October. It features local makers and craft creators. 

Farmers Market Central Park runs Sundays through Oct. 12. While live music plays, shop a variety of Colorado-grown produce vendors plus baked goods, beauty products, sauces and more. All products must be grown, raised, produced or gathered by the vendor. 

Firefly Markets in Denver include the Fall Market (Sept. 6-7) and Holiday Market (Nov. 22-23). In Boulder, they are the Fall market (Oct. 3-5) and Holiday Market (Nov. 15-16). 

Green Valley Ranch Farmer’s Market runs Wednesdays through Aug. 27 selling organic, locally-grown microgreens, baked goods, dairy products, jams and jellies plus homemade crafts and jewelry. 

Highland Square’s Farmers Market runs every Sunday through Oct. 12. Look for Colorado-grown produce, pastries, breads and ready-to-eat foods plus live music. 

Lafayette Farmers Market runs through October. It is a project of Peter and Margo Wanberg, owners of the City Park Farmers Market in Denver which is celebrating its 5th year.

Market in the Park at The Aurora Highlands at Winged Melody Park happens the first and third Saturday through October. Enjoy local artisans, vintage curators, food purveyors, hands-on creative workshops, live music and more. 

Mo Betta Greens Farmers Market runs through Oct. 11 in the Five Points neighborhood selling food grown entirely in local North East Denver farms and sold to local residents. 

Orchard Farmers Market offers produce, baked goods and local foods through September 28 from local vendors.

Orchard ‘til Dark craft market runs the third Friday through September 5 with more than 40 local vendors selling handmade pieces from apparel to home décor, jewelry and much more. 

People + Produce at Belleview Station is a weekly market running through Oct. 12 selling bakery items, grocery items, local produce, meat, dog treats plus artisan crafts. There’ll be food and fashion trucks, a mimosa and beer garden and live music. 

Real Farmers Market in Erie has locally-grown fruits and vegetables, eggs, meats, natural products and more, every Thursday evening through Sept. 18. There’s a vintage car show the last Thursday of every month.

South Pearl St. Farmers Market is every Sunday, through Nov. 9 with artisan cheeses, fresh produce, live music and food trucks, all in the quaint South Pearl neighborhood. 

Tangerine Sky Market Arvada sells goods from dozens of handpicked, small-scale makers on the first Sundays through November. 

University Hills Farmers Market is every Saturday through Oct. 25, providing fresh-baked bakery items, dairy, meat, gourmet dog treats, pasta and farm-fresh produce. 

Urban Market (July 5-6, 19-20, 26-27, August 9-10, 16-17, October 11-12, 18-19 and 25-26) occurs at Wynkoop Place at Union Station. The open air marketplace features local arts and crafts, including jewelry, antiques, furniture and more, sold by the artists. There’s also live music. 

Vail Farmers Market and Art Show is every Sunday through Oct. 5. The meandering market offers everything from clothing to baked goods to produce and ready-to-eat items and more.

July 18-19
Tennyson Street Fair with local vendors, live music and more than 200 local artisans in a farmers-market-style festival. 

July 19
Dairy Block After Dark: Evening Bazaar happens July 19 and Aug. 16. Curated by Denver’s Fireside at Five, each of the nighttime markets will feature 15 unique artisan vendors makers – including local art prints, ceramics, clothing, jewelry and more. Held from 5-10pm, each market will also feature special installations include a vinyl pop-up by Wax Trax Records, DJ sets, immersive art by Denver’s Deep Space Drive-In and more.

August 2-3
The Denver Street Fairs: Midsummer Arts Festival offers up handmade jewelry, body products, home decor, clothing, live music plus food and drink. 

August 9
Saigon Azteca Night Market is a fusion of Latinx and Asian cuisine and culture. There’ll be family-friendly activities, local vendors and cultural performances. 

August 16
Dairy Block After Dark: Evening Bazaar – See July 19 above.

August 23
Summer Vibe Market (Aug. 23-24) in RiNo has more than 130 artisans, makers and creatives plus a female music creator, DJ CYN, cocktail bars, food trucks and an art gallery.

The Northfield Street Fairs: Back to School Weekend is a handmade-only festival with art, decor, jewelry, food and drink. 

September 13
The Northfield Street Fairs: So Long Summer has jewelry, art, gifts plus food and drink. 

September 20
The Denver Street Fairs: It’s Fall Y’all is in the Santa Fe Art District, selling unique art plus jewelry, toys, home decor. Enjoy live music and food trucks. 

October 4
Jackalope Indie Artisan Fair runs Oct. 4-5 includes original fashion and accessory, home decor, kids goods and art. Plus, chalk artists create Halloween-inspired pieces onsite. 

October 20
The Northfield Street Fairs: Handmade Harvest Festival will sell bath products, clothing, jewelry and home decor. Food and drink will be available for purchase. 

November 8
Holiday Vibe Market (Nov. 8-9) has more than 130 artisans, DJ CYN, cocktail bars, food trucks and aura photos.
