Our friends at the Colorado Tourism Office sent along news of a bunch of things to look forward to this year. So, whether you’re planning your own Colorado staycation or thinking of things to do with out-of-town visitors, here are some of the items we found to be In Good Taste.

COLORADO HOTELS & RESORTS
Some places in the following list are opening in 2025 and some opened late in 2024 and will flourish this year, now that they are established.
Hotel 1888 (Glenwood Springs) is slated to open this summer as a 16-room boutique hotel built within the historic sandstone bathhouse alongside the world’s largest hot springs pool.
Hotel Alpenrock Breckenridge (Breckenridge) has 205 rooms and is part of the Curio Collection by Hilton. It debuted early this year along the base of Peak 9 in Breckenridge with two distinct dining experiences, gear valet and a variety of concierge services.
Hotel Polaris at the U.S. Air Force Academy (Colorado Springs) opened in late 2024 featuring the only immersive flight simulators at a hotel in the U.S.
Hotel St. Cloud, (Cañon City) will offer 36 renovated guest rooms slated to open in early 2025
Kindred Resort (Keystone) will open in late summer 2025 with a 107-room hotel, 95 residences, a private club, three new restaurants and retail spaces.
Kosmos Stargazing Resort and Spa (Near the Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve) is set to open in spring 2025. Guests will stay at one of 20 luxurious ‘Telescope-Equipped’ Villas and enjoy the “Kosmos Stargazing Experience” at the on-site Planetarium & Observatory.
Limelight Boulder (Boulder) plans to open in August 2025. It will be an all-electric community hub featuring 250 guest rooms, a ground-floor restaurant, an outdoor plaza, an event lawn and a second story “viewpoint deck” with views of the Flatirons.
Populus (Denver) is the first carbon positive hotel in the U.S. It opened in Civic Center Park, bringing not only a new level of sustainable travel but a dramatic look to downtown Denver.

Bunk House Lodge (Breckenridge) is expected to be added to the Colorado State and National Registers of Historic Places in 2025, as it has stood as a haven for the gay community for more than 50 years and offers a unique LGBTQ+-celebratory lodging experience.
The Rathbone Hotel & Parlor Bar (Montrose) recently opened after a multi-year historic preservation project of the “KP Building.”
The Well Hotel & Taproom (Trinidad) plans to open its renovated 12-room boutique hotel this year. It was originally a hotel in 1888.
Tumbling River Ranch (in the Pike National Forest) is a historic luxury retreat that will be reopening in summer 2025 following a $7+ million renovation and joining Collective Retreats.
Urban Cowboy (Denver) opened late in 2024 in the historic George Schleier Mansion in Capital Hill. It’s the newest outpost for the national hotel brand.

GLAMPING
Arapaho Valley Ranch (Granby) will offer 16 new glamping tents, four cabins and seven RV sites with two yurts on the way.
La Junta KOA (La Junta) is opening two more unique railcar lodging options, the Wonderful Waycar!, a caboose, and the Frontier Zephyr Vista-Dome, the first streamliner dome railcar in the country to be turned into stationary lodging.
Rustic Rook Resort (near Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve) offers fully furnished glamping tents and new for summer 2025 will offer five upcycled grain bin villas with large windows featuring views of the dunes and mountains.
The 1883 North London Mining Office (NoLo) (Alma) recently opened as a backcountry hut with running water, flush toilet, shower and wifi. Summer events include history and gold panning workshops, burro hikes and more.
Yonder Yurts (State Forest State Park in Gould) has new hard-sided yurts with a fully-stocked kitchen, cooktop, bunk beds and wood stoves.

EVENTS
Art on the Corner (Ongoing, Grand Junction) celebrates its 40th anniversary, features over 100 permanent sculptures from artists across the country and welcomes 22 new sculptures in the temporary collection this year.
Denver Jazz Fest (April 3–6, 2025) will establish Denver as a major jazz destination, something we’re thrilled about as life-long jazz fans.
Empower Field at Mile High (August 2, 2025) hosts two of Denver’s most beloved bands, together for one blockbuster night. Hear The Lumineers and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats.
Fort Collins Mural Project (FCMP) collaborates with underrepresented and emerging local artists and businesses to promote contemporary art in public spaces in the city. In 2025, the organization’s 10th year in operation, FCMP’s 100th mural will be installed in Fort Collins.
Fort Garland Museum & Cultural Center celebrates its 75th anniversary this year and will be hosting special attractions including “Why We Serve: Native Americans in the United States Armed Forces” exhibition opening in June.
Outside Festival (May 31-June 1, 2025) returns for its second year, featuring headliner music, adventure films, thought-provoking speakers, immersive experiences and the latest outdoor gear.
Snowmass Balloon Festival (September 12-14, 2025), celebrates 50 years of this iconic event.

EXPERIENCES
Abstract Adventures brings creative recreation to Colorado’s outdoors in 2025 with unique guided hike and paint tours designed to inspire and connect.

Bohemian Bier Spa (Glenwood Springs) will open in June 2025 offering a unique and relaxing experience that combines the benefits of a traditional spa with the therapeutic advantages of beer.
Colorado Historic Hot Springs Loop celebrates 10 years in 2025 offering America’s most relaxing road trip through eight top soaking destinations.
Iron Mountain Hot Springs will celebrate 10 years this summer and add a variety of new pools ranging in temperatures from 55℉-104℉ and multiple saunas to its WorldSprings section throughout the year.
Oakwell Beer Spa is expanding this spring with a second location in Highlands Ranch.
Old Town Hot Springs (Steamboat Springs) will unveil a transformative pool expansion in summer 2025, adding four new pools and a spacious deck to the historic hot springs facility.
The Springs Resort (Pagosa Springs) is undergoing an expansion to double the number of hotel rooms and add 20 new hot springs pools along with a new geothermal spa, a geothermal greenhouse and a greenhouse-to-table restaurant.
Wobble HiFi (Fort Collins) will open this year as the city’s first listening bar featuring a high-fidelity sound system and extensive vinyl collection, as well as a curated and rotating list of craft beverages. It’s inspired by the Japanese concept of Jazz Kissa.
