Know Before You Go to the Keystone Bacon & Bourbon Festival
WHEN IS IT?
Saturday June 24 and Sunday, June 25, 2023, 1-5pm each day.
Insider tip: Sunday is a great day to go because there are fewer people at the festival (hello, more bacon and bourbon for you!). If you stay over Saturday night, you’ll have the morning free to sleep in, grab brunch, stroll, and take a hike. If you stay over Sunday night, you will avoid weekend traffic on I-70 and can breeze back to the city in time for any Monday morning meetings.
WHERE’S IT HAPPENING?
In Keystone, Colorado, in the charming River Run Village. Keystone is an easy drive from Denver, taking less than two hours.
Insider tip: With such a doable, short drive, Keystone is one of our favorite ways to get out of the city and into the mountains, without it being a major haul.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE BACON & BOURBON FESTIVAL?
Unlimited sizzlin’ bacon strips, unlimited bourbon and whiskey tastes from Colorado and beyond, other beverages (alcoholic and non), a variety of food from festival vendors, free live music, great swag, and special activities for kiddos.
Insider tip: Eat something in the morning before starting the festival just to fortify you. Slather on the sunscreen, and drink plenty of water. Oh, and wear comfy shoes for strolling about.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE?
In addition to kicking off the summer season, celebrating the wonderfulness that is bacon and bourbon, and enjoying great music, fun, and frivolity, there’s another reason to attend the Bacon & Bourbon Festival.
The Festival is a proud supporter of Friends of the Dillon Ranger District, a non-profit organization that partners with the Dillon Ranger District by leveraging the power of volunteers to ensure that the National Forest lands, enjoyed by millions of people each year, are not negatively impacted by their popularity.
