I had a friend growing up who was always eating over at the neighbor’s house. Sure, her best friend lived there but mostly it was because the food was just better next door. While that technically isn’t the premise behind the restaurant, Next Door, in the Eastbridge Town Center in Stapleton, but we’re pretty sure being a homey, approachable, neighborhood restaurant, is.

Next Door calls itself an American Eatery. We hear that because they feel America is a melting pot, an American Eatery allows the chance to experiment with flavors from all around the world. Examples include Thai Butternut Squash Soup, Meatballs on Polenta, a vegetarian Beet Burger and Greek Salad.  Next Door is also all about sourcing locally and making everything they can from scratch.

The place is loud, with lots of lively conversation bouncing off of every hard surface. But the food is cozy and good. Let’s take a look at what we found to be In Good Taste over the course of a few visits to Next Door.

Chorizo Bacon Dates
Chorizo Bacon Dates in Red Pepper Sauce are a decadent way to start a meal at Next Door. Rich and delicious, they are one of our favorites.
Next Door Loaded Smashed Potatoes
Loaded Smashed Potatoes make us all happy because smashing, then sauteeing means more crispy surfaces to love.
Tomato soup at Nextdoor.
A cup of roasted tomato soup with a drizzle of olive oil and some grilled, crusty bread is a good entree to your entree at Next Door.
Next Door
Wild Caught Alaskan Salmon – Pan roasted with tuscan kale, beets, quinoa & lemon ($18.95)
Next Door Fish and Chips
If it’s Friday, it’s Fish and Chips, one of the daily specials at Next Door. The fish is light and flaky, the potatoes smashy and the cole slaw nice and cool but not gloppy. ($14.95)
Next Door
Daily Specials and the airplane theme at the Stapleton location. The restaurant sits on what was one of the main runways at the old airport.

Next Door has multiple locations. For this review, we focused on the Eastbridge Town Center Stapleton location at 10155 East 29th Drive, in Denver.
