Sure, you’re using props but all the fun you’re having is the real deal when you’re at Selfie@Stanley, full of photo-and-fun-ready opportunities at Stanley Marketplace, running through April 17. It was started by two Colorado women, Regan Suhay and Molly Pearson. Here’s everything you need to know before you go:
What is Selfie@Stanley?
It’s a place to play, take photos, laugh, share memories, and pictures with friends and family. The interactive photography studio has more than 25 different backgrounds and props so you can take as many photos as you want during the session.
Anyone and everyone is welcome to come take fashion-forward photos, headshots, or silly group photos with things like a bathtub or moped. Props and selfie sticks are available to use for free. Visit the website to select a day/time that works for you and to purchase tickets. “Once you enter the studio, we just want you to play, laugh, and take all the photos you can think of during your session,” says Regan. “We have timed entry slots to help make sure visitors have enough time to make it to the 25+ vignettes but if you need a little extra time to get to them all, no problem.”

What and who is behind Selfie@Stanley?
Regan Suhay has a long history of doing work with afterschool and summer programs for youth, both as a nonprofit program administrator and also working with the Denver Afterschool Alliance to support hundreds of youth organizations. Molly Pearson was a professional modern dancer for many years, working with various dance companies. She also volunteers with a number of area organizations.
Regan had taken one of her tween daughters to a similar establishment about a year ago, and her daughter and friends took 2000 photos in one hour! “They had so much taking photos, posing, trying out silly and serious pics… laughing the whole time and also into the evening as they shared pictures, edited them, and shared them,” says Regan. “The Stanley Marketplace is such a vibrant entity, perfect for bringing people together for fun, making memories and enjoying life.”
Selfie@Stanley is not a chain, so each of the backgrounds are unique to this locally-owned business. “We’re always on the hunt for unique and creative things to do with our friends and families and just thought this would be a great addition to the Stanley,” says Molly.
Regan and Molly began toying with the idea in the Summer of 2021 and got more serious about it in the Fall. They began building it on January 3 and opened just 12 days later.

Where and how can you get started?
The studio is located on the first floor of Stanley Marketplace, in the common area, across from Denver Biscuit Company. Get tickets on the Selfie@Stanley website. All of the photos you take are on your own devices and are yours to share, edit, and print as you wish. “So, not only do you get the fun activity, but you also have pictures to keep forever,” says Regan.
“We just really hope people come and check it out, enjoy it, share it, and that it brings some joy to everyone who visits Stanley Marketplace,” adds Molly.
Stanley Marketplace is located at 2501 Dallas St., in Aurora.
