A new eatery concept puts an end to those annoying conversations that go like this:
“Where do you want to go for lunch/dinner/drinks?”
“I dunno. Where do you want to go?”
“I don’t care, you decide.”
“Shoot me now.” (said under one’s breath)
Avanti Food and Beverage, aka Avanti F&B, is a great concept that not only gives diners plenty of options (allowing them to be as adventurous as they want) but it also serves as a restaurant incubator for new restaurant concepts and chefs. Located in the Lower Highlands neighborhood in the former Avanti printing building, the open space offers plenty of seating from couches to the bar to tables for two to communal gathering spots. And it offers THE BEST VIEW of downtown from its rooftop patio! It’s stunning. And the acoustics are such that you can even hear the roar of the crowd at Coors Field, across the highway. The food hall concept takes what you think of food courts and turns them on their ear.
There are multiple restaurants within Avanti F&B, some brand new, some an extension of a food truck or a sister of an already popular restaurant elsewhere. The idea is that you can go in, order a drink, grab a table, get something from here, something from there. There’s something to make everyone happy there, among the seven restaurants so there can’t be any grumbling over not liking the restaurant you chose! Avanti serves as a business incubator where the restaurants can get a foot-hold, build up a following and perfect their products which means the businesses change every so often.
Parking is difficult to say the least but it can be had. Take advantage of the free valet parking, or walk or cycle one of the handy pedestrian bridges from over on the downtown side. Avanti has the largest B-cycle sharing station in Denver just outside its front doors.

Brava!: Wood-fired pies and small plates. You may already know them from their tremendous pizza work outside of Lannie’s Clocktower Caberet on the 16th Street Mall.
Quiero Arepas: You’ve probably stood in line at their food truck around town, run by Igor and Beckie Panawicz.
Mijo: International noodle and rice dishes get a fresh revamp and chicken wings are made light and unbelievably crispy thanks to john DePierro and Michael Nevarez from Bonanno Concept.
Souk Shawarma: Flavor and color abounds in the large sandwiches by Jon Robbins of Bistro Barbes.
Drinks can be had from the downstairs and upstairs bars or from the friendly strolling servers who will take your order wherever you might be.
Put an end to the griping over where to go and let everyone be happy at Avanti F & B, located at 3200 Pecos Street.
