We didn’t need this chock-full roundup of What’s In Good Taste in May to tell us Colorado’s fully in the swing of late spring/early summer. But our curated list is here to help you navigate some of the choices. Be sure to see the link to our annual Mother’s Day roundup below! And, as always, we’ll add some happenings that strike us as the month progresses. Fans of Colorado’s own Snow Capped Cider will have a new reason to take a Colorado staycation when the Snow Capped Cider Taproom & Wine Bar opens about five hours from Denver in Cedaredge. The small town is located on the southern slope of the Grand Mesa, an area of the state that includes over 300 lakes and plenty of space for activities like back country skiing, hiking and camping. The company helmed by founder Kari Williams is proud to announce the opening, located in what was once a 1940s gas station that Kari and her husband have renovated, honoring its history. The space will showcase Snow Capped Cider’s offerings plus Kari’s curated selection of Colorado’s premier estate cider and wine to show off the amazing fruit and produce grown in our state. In fact, you can see a small grove of apple trees growing on-site at the new taproom. To learn more about Snow Capped Cider’s Taproom & Wine Bar, click here. Congratulations to Snow Capped Cider on winning two 2024 Good Food Awards in April which recognize outstanding American food and drink producers demonstrating a commitment to sustainability, social responsibility and craftsmanship. And stay tuned for our upcoming podcast interview with Kari Williams.
