It’s a big month here in Colorado, full of late-Spring/early-Summer happenings, making this edition of What’s In Good Taste in May chock full. In addition to the food, drink, arts and culture things we find to be, you know, In Good Taste, Cinco de Mayo, Derby Day and Mother’s Day are upon us too so that adds a new batch of fun things to do. In fact, we have so many Mother’s Day-related things, we’ve put them in a separate roundup. Let’s get started.

A Sweet Spa Surprise at Maven Hotel is an overnight getaway deal that lets mom pamper herself with a collection of bath and beauty products, and sweet treats from Denver Milk Market.
Ambler is donating 10% of proceeds from select bites and sips on May 23-26, to Colorado Veterans Project, a local nonprofit helping Veterans find jobs, purpose and stability. Featured items include the Old Fashioned, Ambler Brambler and Spinach Artichoke Dip with fried pita.
Bezel Cocktail Bar has unveiled the first of two summer menus that showcase Colorado produce. Examples include the Blueberry Parfait, Lavender Latte, Curry Leaf Sazerac and Sage Reviver cocktails. On the food side, there’s the Miso Glazed Salmon, Colorado Lamb Al Pastor and Beetatas Bravas as examples.
Billy Goat Hop Farm opens Down at the Hop Yard Campground and Fridays On The Farm May 23 through October 3. The Beer Barn will open to campers and the public from 2-9pm with beer from around the southwest. There’ll also be rotating food trucks, yard games and occasional live music.
Bucket & Bubbles is a regular Sunday thing at Work and Class, with $40 getting you six pieces of fried chicken and a bottle of bubbles. It’s available on Sunday, May 11, Mother’s Day. Just sayin’.
Butterflies at Chatfield Farms returns for the year, May 24-September 1. Visiting the butterfly house is included with a general admission ticket.
Cinco de Mayo at Punch Bowl Social runs May 2-May 5 with $12 Patron Margaritas in mini collectible bottles to take home (while supplies last), free chips and salsa at your table starting at 5pm, Latin beats to groove to and a surprise at the door while supplies last.
Civic Center EATS returns May 14, running through October 16, most Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11am-2pm in Civic Center Park.
Colorado Rockies Home Game Specials at the Denver Milk Market provides a $6 ballpark hot dog or two hot dogs for $10 and a new Purple in the Outfield cocktail made with Altos Tequila, Giffard Pamplemousses, pineapple juice, blackberry syrup, lime and soda for $14.

Denver Art Society has a month of events including First Friday on May 2, DJ Night on May 16 and Sundays on Santa Fe on May 25.
NEWS Denver Center Theatre Company has announced their 2025/26 season lineup. It includes Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Cowboys and East Indians and Next to Normal.
Denver Milk Market has new Spring menu items at Fuso, Green Huntsman, BOS and Albina by the Sea food hall concepts including the BLT Pizza, Bucatini Pomodoro and Green Goddess Salad.

After the original owners decided to close the literary-themed brewery on East Colfax, seven of their most loyal customers pooled their money and, despite not having any experience in the business, re-opened it. NEWS Hotel Teatro is opening a new wine bar within The Study area of the boutique hotel. They are also announcing Women Winemaker Wednesdays, the second Wednesday of each month. “Liberty” has been unveiled at Hogan Park at Highlands Creek in The Aurora Highlands. The 58-foot-tall sculpture by Benistry was originally unveiled at Burning Man in 2024. It’s a modern interpretation of the Statue of Liberty, standing as a symbol of unity, courage and hope.

Titanic: An Immersive Voyage is an immersive art experience during which visitors can see the ship’s construction, walk the halls, come face-to-face with the iceberg and experience the ship’s dramatic final moments in immersive galleries. Cinco de Mayo Boychik at Stanley Marketplace celebrates with an all-day Happy Hour and two special cocktails: Garden in the Desert features urfa biber-infused tequila, passion fruit liqueur, prickly pear, and lime, delivering a sweet-spicy experience and the sharper Fiya Water combines jalapeño-infused mezcal with orange liqueur, Bonfire Bitters, and lime for a smoky heat.
Cinco de Mayo Centro Mexican Kitchen will give away the first 100 margaritas of the day for free, starting at 11am. There’ll also be Por Lo Bueno artisanal Tepextate shots and Por Lo Bueno mezcal palomas, frozen mags, margarita pitchers plus food specials including birria tacos and Hamachi crudo.

Carne RiNo hosts its inaugural wine dinner created by Chef Dana Rodriguez, hosting Tommaso Cortonesi, the third-generation winemaker and owner of Cortonesi in Montalcino, Italy. Guests will enjoy a three-course dinner and dessert, each paired with selections from Cortonesi’s portfolio.

Chez Maggy hosts a Taste of France evening (available every third Thursday from 5-7pm). The French wine-appreciation session introduces guests to a curated selection of wines that show the diversity of the region. There are three tiers of pricing and a selection of snacks to accompany it including smoked sardines and baguette with salted butter.
Platform Series Dinner highlights Schramsberg Vineyards, producer of méthode traditionnelle sparkling wines. Each course, created by Denver Union Station Culinary Director Kevin McCormick highlights the paired wines.
Raúl Pérez Winemaker Dinner at Corrida, is a 5-course, prix-fixe menu created by Executive Chef Samuel McCandless. Each course is paired with wines from Pérez’s celebrated Bierzo, which his family has been tending for more than 300 years. Reservations are available via OpenTable.

Civic Center NIGHT MARKET X AAPI Culture Fest celebrates the diversity and creativity of AAPI communities through interactive cultural hubs and a pop-up art auction. The event is family-friendly.

Bridgerton High Tea Cookie Class at Sugar Bloom Studio, steps into the world of elegance with a cookie decorating class inspired by the hit series. Create cookies fit for a royal tea party.

Working in various mediums, her pieces utilize natural materials to create one-of-a-kind pieces.
