Did we have you at “WIN” or “BBQ”? Either way, you’re in the right place. We partnered with Q BBQ Festivals to giveaway two tickets for the Q BBQ Fest being held in Denver May 27-28, 2023 (NOTE: the giveaway is over and we have a lucky winner who can’t wait to go. Read on anyway). We’re big fans of the festival and always wear our stretchy pants to attend. But the format is different this year, so here’s a quick look at what you need to know.
The Festival as a whole:
- Happens Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28 at Empower Field at Mile High.
- There are two sessions per day:
11am-3pm or 4-8pm with the 4-hour VIP Pit Pass – $149.00
12-3pm or 5-8pm with the 3-hour Pit Pass – $109.00
In other words, the VIP pass gets you in an hour early. The event is closed from 3-4pm both days. - There’s a General Admission option for ages 13-20 for $35.00
- Both levels of Pit Pass get you all-you-can-eat and -drink.
- Parking is free.
Who’s going to be dishing up the Q grub?
Only the likes of pitmasters including Leslie Roark Scott of Ubons BBQ in Yazoo City, MS; John Matthews & Brian Scoggins of Pappy’s Smokehouse in St. Louis, MO: Johann Callender from Barbados Smokehouse in Barbados; and Matt Abdoo & Shane McBride from Pig Beach BBQ in New York and Florida. Local folks include Bill Espiricueta of SMOK Barbecue in Denver; Keith and Jodi Segura of Woodhill Small Batch BBQ in Littleton; Matt Vargocko of A Bit Twisted Brewpub & BBQ in Aurora; and others.
What else will be happening at the Q BBQ Fest?
Live music both days, plus live BBQ demos, a Rib Rumble on Saturday, and Run for the Ribs 5K on Sunday.
