Much like loving or hating cilantro, you’re either a Gin person or a Vodka person. I’m a proud Gin person, enjoying the juniper-ness of the spirit and what it lends to a cocktail. In honor of #WorldGinDay, June 13, 2020, I asked the fine folks at Deviation Distilling if they had a really wonderful recipe that shows off the herbaciousness of gin. Boy, did they send a good one, this cocktail recipe for a Blackberry Mule.

Get prepared with this shopping list:
Deviation Distilling Mountain Herb Gin
A package of blackberries
1 lime
Basil leaves from your garden or packaged in the store
Simple syrup – can be purchased but it’s ridiculously easy to make. Keep it on hand for other drinks.
Ginger beer (we like Goslings)
Moscow Mule Mugs (like these from Amazon)
