Last fall, I had the pleasure of talking to Kristen Slater, co-owner of Team Player Productions (who put on so many great Colorado events) about the Park City Wine Festival in Park City, Utah. Then, I had even more pleasure attending the event, experiencing everything Kristen had told me and our In Good Taste Denver Podcast listeners about, in advance. If you didn’t attend the fall event, here’s your chance to avoid FOMO. Listen to our conversation about what happens at the Park City Wine Festival: Spring Edition, including new, special activations, great tips for making the most of all of the events, and the announcement of even more savings for people using our exclusive discount promo code. In this episode of the In Good Taste Denver Podcast, event organizer, Kristen Slater, gives listeners some really usable tips for how to dress for the weather and the occasion, what essential things you MUST bring to be able to get into each event, and what elements are new this year.
I ask Kristen what goes into planning the event which happens twice per year. Basically, they start planning one event the day after the other one ends. But there’s a lot more to consider, especially because they are bringing in representatives from so many wineries around the country (and their big supplies of wine), plus arranging for musicians for some of the events, and coordinating with local Park City, Utah restaurants for paired meal events. It’s a lot!

We learn what’s so unique about Park City, Utah itself, which makes it reason enough to go. For instance, it’s an historic mining town that’s cozy but chic and, until very recently, was home to the famed Sundance Film Festival (which moves to our very own Boulder, Colorado in 2026).

For those of us in Colorado, Park City is a fun experience being a mountain town and prime ski resort that’s accessible in less than an hour from arriving at Salt Lake City’s airport! I mean, really, spring skiing, boarding and snowshoeing without the long drive? Yes, please. And then there’s the Park City Wine Festival itself, with a variety of events spread over multiple days, giving Coloradan’s a great excuse for a quick getaway (it’s only an hour’s flight out of DIA).

Visit the Park City Wine Festival’s website for all events and their descriptions and individual ticket pricing as details become available. Don’t forget to use our discount promo code, ingoodtaste, to save $10 on ANY and EVERY event ticket throughout the Park City Wine Festival: Spring Edition. So, if you purchase tickets to two events, you’ll receive $20 off! Our thanks to the Kristen and the Park City Wine Festival for providing us with this exclusive code.
