Colorado is a beer-loving state, as we all know. So, thank goodness there are opportunities like the beer festival, put on by Gum Pop Presents & BEER FEST CO, to show off the scene in a multi-faceted way. There are two BEER FESTs coming up at the end of this summer, in the Sloan’s Lake neighborhood on August 19 and one in the Park Hill neighborhood on September 9. To get you prepped for what to expect, here’s what you need to know before you go to the Sloan’s Lake BEER FEST.

When: Saturday, August 19, 3-7pm. Specifically, 3-7pm for VIP level tickets and 4-7pm for general admission. More on that below.

Where: One block off of Sloan’s Lake at 1610 Raleigh Street in Denver. That’s Raleigh between W. Conejos Place and West 16th Avenue.

What will there be to drink?
Unlimited sampling of offerings from local breweries, cideries and distilleries plus canned cocktails. There’ll also be beer-related vendors to shop with. If you don’t want to do the unlimited sampling, there will not be an outdoor cash bar nor individual purchasing from the pouring booths.

What will there be to eat?
Plenty, from several food trucks and area restaurants that are on the block.

What’s this about voting for the People’s Choice?
Your chance to vote in the People’s Choice BEER FEST awards for Favorite Brewery and Favorite Non-Beer Brew. Each booth will have a QR code that links you to the voting page so it’s super easy.

What does all this amazing fun cost? There are several options:
General Admission (4-7pm)
includes unlimited sampling from 15+ breweries, distilleries and cideries, a themed koozie & cup for $40 when purchased in advance. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door for $45.

Can you bring your dog?
Yes, if they are friendly (good with crowds) and are on a leash.

What if you have to, you know, go?
There are porto potties located just past the intersection of Raleigh St. and 16th Ave.
