All-Day Happy Hour happens Mon.-Fri. At Snooze A.M. Eatery with $5 select Bloody Marys & Mimosas and $3 mocktails. Options include the Mmm Mmmm Mimosa, The Bloody, Strawberry Lavender Lemonade mocktail and others.
Alley Soundscapes series for September offers a lineup of free live concerts in the Dairy Block Alley including Los Molcochetes, Delta Sonics Duo, Lost Penny and El Javi.
Bikers & Bakers is a new pop-up at Denver Milk Market, serving a variety of signature hot dogs including Elk Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage and Bacon Cheddar Brat with a variety of toppings. Saturday mornings bring Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and more.
Bos Butcher & Deli is another new concept at Denver Milk Market. It offers a variety of butcher’s favorites including the Cowboy Burger with double all beef patties, the B.B.L.T. with Applewood smoked bacon and burrata and a Mediterranean sandwich.
Brazilian music can be enjoyed in multiple concerts throughout the month by the Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra, held at various locations. Concerts start Sept. 8 and run through Sept. 29. Visit the link for the full schedule.
Breckenridge Oktoberfest, presented by Breckenridge Brewery, returns to Main Street, Sept. 13-15. Enjoy Bavarian-inspired live music, German fare, and signature brews throughout the weekend. Note, fall leaves will be just about at peak then so stay overnight and make a weekend of it.
Bright Nights at Four Mile, running through Oct. 1, is a new event created by the largest Chinese lantern festival producer in North America. Walk amongst larger-than-life, illuminated sculptures across the Park’s 12 acres.
Cinderella, performed by Ballet Ariel, has tickets available for their Oct. 5-6 and Nov. 3 production. With original choreography and classic score, the production is an abbreviated version of the ballet with a Meet and Greet with performers on stage after the show.
Comal Heritage Food Incubator debuts Happy Hour Tuesday-Friday with cocktails that will complement globally-inspired street food.
Denver Bake Fest by Rebel Bread happens Oct. 5 but applications are being taken through Sept. 27 for those who want to enter the baking competition in the categories of brownies, whole grain savory, quick breads, sandwich cookies, fougasse and gluten-free cakes.
Featured Event: Denver Food + Wine Festival is Sept. 4-7. One of the biggest, most fun, and most respected foodie events in the state, the event is created by and for restaurant lovers. News Nocturne, the jazz and supper club, announces a new executive chef, Travis Elliot. He brings experience from Osterio Marco, American Elm and Guard and Grace and others.
Noisette is a bakery by day and wine bar at night. Wed.-Sat., they offer wine by the glass and casual snacks from 5pm-close. They also have new dishes: Duck for Two and Tropezienne Tart with Palisade Peach and Raspberry.
Old Ways, New Hands, Sept. 3-Oct. 30, is an annual program celebrating two chefs who are part of a mentorship, goal accelerator program for Latin/Hispanic Chefs through Toro and Tamayo restaurants. Offerings from Chefs Gemma Aguayo-Murphy (Pork Chile Colorado Taco) and Mely Hernandez De La Vega (Short Rib Arepas) will be on the menus of both restaurants.
One Ohana is Adrift Tiki Bar’s ongoing guest bartender series which pairs the sales of a specific cocktail with the charity of that bartender’s choosing. Mel Ostrow from The Block Distilling Co. created Afternoon Delight with Local Gin, Cocchi Vermouth di Torino, Jasmine, Lemongrass and more. A portion of the proceeds for the month of September will go towards Hālau Kalama, a non-profit organization with a mission to educate and promote the art of Polynesian music, language and dance to all.
Rhein Haus celebrates Oktoberfest Sept. 20-22 and 27-29 with $6 half-liters of select German beers and Stein Holding and Pretzel Tossing competitions for prizes.

2024 Denver 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is an annual in remembrance of the September 11, 2021 attacks. Members of the public can join area firefighters to climb the stairs of 1801 California for a total of 110 flights in honor of the 343 firefighters from the FDNY who gave their lives while trying to save others. Every participant receives a photo ID of one of the fallen heroes.

Casa Bonita will officially begin accepting reservations from the general public directly on their website, as of 3pm, doing away with the lottery system that has frustrated hopeful diners since the restaurant opened. Those who book a reservation once they open to the public will be able to choose dates starting on Oct. 1. Those who already had an invitation link to purchase tickets, will still be able to use it to book a table for dates and times through Sept. 30.
“Guac ‘n Roll” tutorial classes help everyone celebrate National Guacamole Day at Kachina Cantina. Learn tips and tricks on how to make great guac. Tickets include a welcome cocktail to sip while guests become the chef.
September 18
National Cheeseburger Day means ½ off cheeseburgers at Cherry Cricket. There will also be live music to enjoy while feasting.
News Populus Hotel is tentatively scheduled to open, with two restaurants including one on the rooftop. We’ve been eagerly awaiting the opening of this beautiful, wonderfully organic structure. We’ll provide updates as we have them.

Cocktail Class at Prismajic teaches both classic and modern drinks. Learn techniques, tools, tips and tricks in an intimate bar area setting. Charcuterie will be available during and after.
Corrida Sunset Series: September Sunset Party is the last such event of the season. There’ll be live music from several local bands, an all-you-can-eat spread including a Colorado Cattle Company beef carving station, desserts, wine, dancing and more.
Devil’s Kitchen Winemaker Pairing Dinner in partnership with Palisade’s Peachfork Winery offers a 3-course meal, paired with award-winning wines.
Gather ‘Round Gala is Denver Urban Gardens’ (DUG) signature fundraising event. Enjoy dinner from The Easy Vegan, dance to DJ tunes, and bid on silent auction items or once-in-a-lifetime live auction experiences.
High Plains Comedy Festival features a mix of local and national comics who perform and venues throughout Denver with a special emphasis on the historic Baker neighborhood. This year’s festival is Sept. 19-21.

Bourbon Boulevard is a partnership between Seven Grand and Dairy Block to celebration National Bourbon Heritage Month with live music, light bites and whiskey sampling from across the country.

Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns at Hudson Gardens begins and runs only on Fridays. Presented by Denver’s Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group transforms gardens into a glowing trail of hand-carved pumpkins.
Pueblo Chili & Frijoles Festival returns again, Sept. 20-22. It’s one of our favorite events, with live music, vendors to shop, fresh produce, food stands and freshly-roasted chilies of every heat level to purchase. Stock up and freeze them in batches to use throughout the year.
The Benson Hotel hosts a 7-course meal at their restaurant, The Common Good. Inspired by the artistry of fire in cooking, the dishes will have rich aromas and earthy notes of smoke and embers.
The Glow Show, happening Sept. 20-21, is a larger-than-life showcase of hot air balloons which remain on the ground but create a picture-perfect contrast between the balloons and darkness of the night sky. Stay for carnival-themed food and festivities including activities for kids.
September 21
Brews & Barrels brings together Colorado’s top breweries in support of Adaptive Adventures, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing outdoor sports opportunities to individuals with physical disabilities. Taste craft beers from small-batch brews to seasonal flavors plus zero-proof drink options and food. The event happens at The Orchard Town Center.
News Carm & Gia Metropolitan, in East Denver, closes, sadly. We loved this place once it became obvious it was a restaurant and started going (people thought it was a salon for the longest time). But once they made it clear it was a restaurant, we loved going. We’re sorry to see it go.
Colorado Mountain Winefest returns for its 33rd year. Enjoy unlimited sips of local vintages plus a grape stomp, live music, ice carving and educational seminars. We went a few years ago and it’s a lot of fun in a beautiful setting on the western slope.
Colfax Chicken Fest includes live music, chicken-inspired contests, art activities, food trucks, family activities and Drumstick 40 West Gallery Exhibition that pays homage to the iconic Denver Drumstick.
