In honor of National Rum Punch Day (September 20), and the arrival of Hawaii’s Kōloa Rum Company products into Colorado, here’s a delicious recipe to make at home.
Watermelon Rum Punch

Serves 2
Ingredients:
4 oz. Kōloa Kauaʻi White Rum
3 cups watermelon, cubed
1 1/2 large limes, juiced
2 TBS sugar
4 oz. club soda
Handful fresh mint leaves
Combine watermelon, lime juice (1 lime) and sugar in blender, blend until liquid. In cocktail shaker, muddle mint and remaining lime juice. Add Kōloa Kauaʻi White Rum, watermelon mixture and ice, stir well. Pour into rocks glasses over ice and top with club soda. Garnish with lime wheel, fresh mint and watermelon wedge.
